The City of Salisbury, with its magnicient medieval Cathedral, together with the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge, provide the focal points for an amazing diversity of attractions for visitors of all ages.

The Dovecot is perfectly situated for visiting Salisbury and Stonehenge and, with its easy access to several major roads, is an ideal base for visiting many attractions in Wiltshire as well as further afield.

Stonehenge is less than 10 minutes away, and offers visitors audio tours in nine languages as well as the opportunity to enter the stone circle outside normal opening hours, by prior arrangement.

The historic cathedral city of Salisbury is within a 20 minute drive. It has Britain’s finest 13th century Cathedral with the tallest spire in the country. The Close around the Cathedral comprises a superb selection of architecture through the ages.

Just outside Salisbury is Wilton House, the home of the 18th Earl of Pembroke. It comprises the finest 17th century stateroom in England, the Double Cube Room, designed to display the family’s portraits by Van Dyck.

Next to Wilton House is Wilton Shopping Village, providing a wide range of factory outlet shops, with discounted prices for leading brands.
